I'm Bob Selcoe, owner of Black Gem. Thanks for stopping by! I've been collecting records for over 30 years, and have been a full-time dealer since 1999. A few years ago, I started sending photos of weird album covers to friends and a few customers - and realized there's a lot of interest in them.

Since then interest has grown, and thus came the idea for the web site - which as you may have noticed, is not set up as an e-commerce site - yet. This is because we're record guys, not computer guys! We're working on it. So in the meantime, we've made it as simple as possible to purchase:

The site is dedicated to featuring FRONT ALBUM COVER ART. Seam splits and front cover flaws are noted in the descriptions. While VINYL CONDITIONS ARE STRONG FOR THE VAST MAJORITY (clean VG or better), this is not always the case.

So if either back cover or vinyl condition is an issue for you, please let me know and I'll double check conditions for anything you wish to purchase.
