No, he (Billy Novick) is whistling traditional Celtic tunes on Side 1, and pop and jazz tunes on Side 2. Novick's a fine traditional player but he's no jazz musician (let alone an improviser), and the results can be pretty out-there at times (his off-key, stumbling tribute to flute legend Eric Dolphy with overdubbed melody and misfiring solo is particularly amusing). sl wear.
