Turn On With The World's Most Sensuous Music
Ever since the sex scene in the film "10", classics like Ravel's Bolero have been packaged by the geniuses on Madison Avenue as "sensuous" or sexy or erotic. But the people behind the famous "Turn On" label obviously took things one step further. Here we have a label dedicated to offering "The music you love – to be loved by". Uh huh. Maybe classical music sales were sagging in the late '70s and they needed a gimmick. And yeah, maybe the visual of a half-naked Bo Derek associated with Bolero could have the desired effect - but Rachmaninoff's Pagnini Variation No. 18? Or how about Wagner's Love Death?? Now there's a romantic thought. Oy... slight ringwear
